Hi, my name is Lisa Gerow and I’m a bookkeeper in Miles City, Montana. Thanks to cloud technology, however, I work with business owners all over the country. I handle their bookkeeping which allows them to focus on what they do best…growing their businesses.
Pretty early on in my secretarial/paralegal career, I was handed the task of doing the books for the small law firms I worked for. Over the past 30 years, I have been given the responsibilities of bookkeeper/accountant along with my other responsibilities. I realized that I had a real passion for bookkeeping along with loving my legal career. I felt truly fortunate to have the opportunity to do both. I also discovered I loved working with small to mid-sized firms versus large firms. I can’t tell you how fulfilling it was to be a part of their success! That’s why for the past few years I’ve been working exclusively with small and mid-sized businesses.
I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest in a very small farming town nestled in the Cascade Mountains. In my early twenties after completing legal secretarial school, I ventured to the big city of Seattle and worked for a few small/medium sized law firms until I took a position with one of the largest firms in Seattle and worked there for many years until I relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana. I continued on for several small firms as their bookkeeper/secretary/paralegal extraordinaire until I moved back to the Pacific Northwest. I worked for a few years as the bookkeeper, Executive Secretary for a small non-profit private water company until my husband and I decided to relocate to our acreage in Montana and start our hobby farm.
